You may have seen reports in the Coventry Telegraph concerning plans to build housing in 169 areas around the City. The article listed some sites in Cromwell Lane. That article is here:

More complete details are on the Coventry City Council website. One of the proposed sites along Cromwell Lane includes all of the farmland surrounding Westwood Farm.

This strategy is simply not sustainable. It is short-sighted. What happens when, as the plan suggests, every bit of green space within the City boundary has been built on?
I live in the Cromwell Lane Development area and it is beyond madness with the massive problems the village is already experiencing. And yes what is happening or the meaning of 'Greenbelt land'. The village already is overly trafficked due to the over spill of commuters parking on our streets and making it virtually impossible to get out to work on time. The speeding traffic is also a problem and the surrounding roads are a nightmare to travel on - Cromwell Lane/Charter Avenue/Westwood Heath Road. It's amazing when we try to get parking permits for our streets that the City Council have appeared to put it to the back burner and then this development suddenly rears its ugly head
